Description: Remanufacturing Product & Quality Engineer, will support Reman Commodities - product & quality improvement actions from end to end - incoming core from field, to teardown & cleaning processes, product qualifications, assembly & final testing.

The engineer will focus on core utilization, process & product improvements and tooling, machinery technology enhancements. This position requires a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a dynamic cross-functional team environment with ongoing onsite program reviews at 3rd party supplier location(s)

Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Understand engineering and industrialization aspects of remanufactured parts, such as design, specifications and machinery, in order to enhance the process without affecting original design intent • Understand field quality key process indicators (KPI), working with the organization & Supplier's Engineering and Quality Teams and work on implementing Quality improvement strategies • Support product teardown reviews, component attrition studies, root causes and corrective actions - with closed loop feedback to the organizations Engineering & Quality teams • Develop project objectives and plans by providing input specific to product/process design requirements, project elements, and project scheduling • Plan, schedule, and lead Process Audits for Reman Parts - verify corrective actions to ensure compliance with technical requirements of the product and process according to a standard • Evaluate quality and program risk on an ongoing basis, with emphasis on meeting Throughput expectations • Be the voice of Supplier issues on component availabilities and follow up with expeditious execution of corrective actions to mitigate production working with Client Purchasing & Supply Chain teams

Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field • 5+ years of Process or Manufacturing Experience, with emphasis in Powertrain areas • Bachelor's requirements &/or Engineering requirements can be waived, if candidate has exceptional track record in manufacturing processes with well documented process & quality improvement actions implemented

Preferred Requirements: • 5 years of manufacturing, remanufacturing, repair or engineering development experience in Gas or Diesel powertrains and/or system components. • Experience managing several simultaneous projects and ensure resources are allocated appropriately to meet timing. • Microsoft Office proficiency. • Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings (GD&T Knowledge preferred but not required). • Travel required to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities - maybe 5%-10%

Additional Information / Must Have's: 1. Deep knowledge of propulsion systems (i.e. engines, transmissions, driveline, etc) from a design, manufacturing & quality perspective 2. Must be able to lead a team and drive action. Engage the cross functional team to develop a problem statement and provide a robust interim & permanent corrective action. 3. Understand field quality key process indicators (KPI), working with Client & Supplier's Engineering and Quality Teams and work on implementing Quality improvement strategies

o Onsite/ Remote Hybrid 4-5 days per week.

Does this position require driving a Client vehicle? (Examples: Testing / Driving on a Track / Moving vehicle throughout the facility/ Moving vehicle to another plant location) NO

Amount of travel, (if so, where): 5 to 10 %. North America travel only to visit key Reman suppliers (ATC, AER, SRC, ZF, etc)
