A confidential, long-established CNC contract manufacturer supporting
defense and aerospace
programs is seeking a
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
to lead new product introduction and process optimization. This role drives continuous improvement in a highly regulated production environment with significant growth potential.
Key Responsibilities Work within the
New Product Introduction (NPI)
team to receive customer designs, perform
DFMA
analysis, and develop accurate quotes. Apply deep
CNC machining
expertise to create and optimize manufacturing processes. Drive continuous improvements using
Lean Manufacturing ,
Six Sigma , and
5S
techniques. Generate and maintain engineering documentation such as
BOMs, SOPs, and work instructions . Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and customers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery goals are met. Lead structured problem solving (A3, PDCA, 8D, DMAIC) for process and quality issues. Qualifications 5-10+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in
aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries . VantageClear Certification or equivalent (e.g., active U.S. security clearance, CMMC, or similar defense-industry credential) required. Strong background in
CNC machining
and
GD&T . Experience with
new product development , quoting, and cost analysis. Proficiency in
SolidWorks
and CAD/CAM software (Esprit, MasterCAM). Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing certification or demonstrated experience. Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional teams. Degree in Engineering preferred but not required Why Join Competitive base salary with
