Are you ready to shape the future of aerospace with cutting-edge technology? Join our Rotary Wing Platform Systems Team within the Military Avionics group at Collins Aerospace. Here, you will play a crucial role in developing and testing avionics for US Army Special Operations Aviation (SOA) programs. This dynamic position offers flexibility to push the boundaries of technology, enhancing the capabilities of A/MH-6, MH-60M and MH-47G aircraft platforms. This role requires a highly motivated person to help lead the charge for the SOA programs. What You Will Do: Support systems engineering through all phases of system product development including program pursuit and capture, requirements capture and analysis, system architecture design, requirements allocation and traceability, system verification, system validation and life-cycle product support. Complete work for avionics solutions across the A/MH-6R, MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics for the US Army Special Operations Aviation (SOA) programs. Navigate through the bids & pursuits, adhering to Collins Processes for the SOA programs. Lead customer discussions alongside the program chiefs & architects. Have the potential opportunity to see your work in action by assisting in flight test events at customer facilities. Up to 10% of domestic travel as needed. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience. Systems Engineering experience Flight Test experience Ability to require a secret DoD clearance after day 1 Qualifications We Prefer: Collins Aerospace's Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) experience. Avionics experience. Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience (military or civil aircraft) in avionics systems, specifically testing and troubleshooting. Working knowledge / understanding of data busses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429) Experience with TNT, DOORS, PREP, JIRA and/or Microsoft Office Suite is desired. Organizational skills including associated documentation. Research test requirements and prepare test plans and procedures.
