We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for the 5 South Surgical Oncology unit at UofL Hospital Location: 530 South Jackson Street, Louisville, KY 40202 Shift: Day Shift, 5 days/week About Us UofL Hospital, a 404-bed academic teaching and research hospital, is at the heart of the Louisville Metro area in downtown Louisville. Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Manager will have responsibility for the overall operations of the nursing unit to include financial performance, service quality, clinical outcomes, quality improvement, employee satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. The clinical manager of the nursing department will have direct reporting responsibility to a designated nursing director. The Units of focus: Inpatient Surgical Oncology unit Early Oncology Diagnosis patients Qualifications
Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky 5+ years of experience in an acute care setting Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) Prior experience in nursing leadership roles in the hospital setting Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program Professional certification in either a leadership or clinical specialty area (If certification not present on hire, it is to be obtained within 3 years of hire into position.)
