Packager Position
Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading food production company in Klingerstown, PA. We are seeking candidates for a Packager role on the 1st shift. Compensation for this opportunity is $16.00 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information! What Youll Do as the Packager: Inspect the quality of eggs and remove any broken Place proper labels on boxes Understand dates, expiration and item numbers Ensure that bags and pails are properly sealed and clean Stack flats of CHEX product onto the proper pallet Load material into case erector Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety What You Need to Be the Packager: Prior manufacturing experience preferred Ability to use computer touch screens to start and stop lines as needed Ability to obtain and maintain a company pallet jack license Experience operating a pallet jack is preferred Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers Ability to print and speak simple sentences Effective communication skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers Join an industry-leading team!
