Retail & Channel Marketing Manager
to drive growth across emerging sales channels, including retail bookstores and Amazon. This role reports to our Digital Strategy Lead and partners with the Digital Marketing Lead to complement direct-to-consumer efforts by focusing on sell-in opportunities, sell-through marketing support, and Amazon sales management. This is a collaborative role for someone who can develop new channel strategies and contribute to cross-functional initiatives supporting Guideposts' ecommerce goals. Essential Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and execute marketing plans that support retailer sell-in (e.g., bookstore outreach, trade promotions, launch materials). Develop sell-through strategies including POS support, co-branded materials, and promotional campaigns with retail partners and authors. Analyze retail sales performance and optimize campaigns to drive revenue growth with P&L management. Amazon & Online Retail Management
Oversee product listings, optimization, and promotional calendars for Amazon. Collaborate with internal and agency teams on inventory, pricing, and advertising strategies to improve visibility and conversion on Amazon. Monitor key metrics (ACOS, sales rank, reviews) and recommend improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Align with Digital Marketing Lead on messaging and campaign timing for new book launches. Partner with Content Editorial on product development to ensure retail, Amazon, and new channels are considered. Collaborate with Content Marketing to align assets and initiatives that support sales goals across channels. Identify overlapping opportunities that could enhance both DTC and retail sales. Serve as a connector between product, marketing, and fulfillment teams to ensure channel readiness and smooth execution. Strategic Growth & Special Projects
Explore new sales channels and marketing approaches to extend Guideposts' reach. Take on special projects that support digital growth, including seasonal initiatives or content partnerships. Contribute to strategic planning around product launches and channel strategy. Qualifications
4+ years of experience in channel marketing, ecommerce, or retail marketing (book or media industry a plus). Experience managing Amazon Seller or Vendor Central, including optimization and advertising. Strong analytical skills with comfort interpreting data to drive actionable decisions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work. Self-starter with a test-and-learn mindset in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment. Job Location & Travel
This is a hybrid position based in the
New York City Metro area
mostly remote work with travel to our
Danbury, Connecticut
office quarterly and occasionally between visits depending on business needs. Candidates must live within this region or be willing to travel to Danbury as required. Eligibility
