Schedule:
Work 24 hours, get paid for 36 hours as part of the Weekend Worker Program
Shift:
Days: Saturday/Sunday, 7am-7pm
Will have CT and X-Ray Responsibilities
Location: AdventHealth Lenexa City Center, 16950 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66219
The community youll be caring for:
Our newest hospital in the Kansas City metro area AdventHealth Lenexa City Center will include around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, and inpatient beds for medical-surgical and short-stay units.
The new campus will include:
244,000 square feet
Capacity for 98 total beds (44 on opening and 54 slated for future expansion)
Four operating rooms (two upon opening and two slated for future dates)
Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs CAT Scan procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to acquire CAT scan images for radiological diagnosis. Must keep the room clean and stocked with supplies required to perform CAT Scan procedures.

Maintains all the essential job functions of the CT Technologist.
Reviews scheduled patients requisitions and chart before starting the exam.
Administers opaque contrast material as directed by Radiologist.
Starts IVs on outpatients requiring IV contrast.
Draws labs for Creatine when possible to expedite patient care.
Communicates with nurses and physicians to expedite patient care.
Locates orders, lab work, allergies, and other related resources on the patient in PowerChart.
Sends images to VRC in a timely manner and scans VRC reports into PACS.
Gives oral contrast, when scheduled, to abdomen and pelvis CT scan patients one to two hours prior to exams.
Participates in training new CT techs.
Operates Cerner System proficiently, troubleshoots order problems, and makes corrections within scope of user level.
Completes and charges exams correctly on Cerner System.
Sends all exams to PACS System and knows procedures if PACS is down.
Adheres to radiation safety standards.
Assumes responsibility for assigned area and reports equipment malfunctions.
Follows Standard of Behavior guidelines per hospital policy.
Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational actions.
Follows the AIDET model (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank) for personalized patient care.
Maintains ethical relationships and cooperates with all personnel in proper conduct of the department.
Demonstrates commitment to personal and professional development and pursues continuing education.
Maintains professional appearance according to dress code standards.
Attends at least 50% of scheduled department meetings and is responsible for obtaining information from missed meetings.
Provides patient transportation when needed.
Performs other related duties as required and deemed necessary by the Radiology Director or Manager.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or graduation from a Technical School.
