Northrop Grumman Advanced Weapons has an opening for an Embedded Software Engineer Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Northridge, CA, but can work out of Tucson, AZ, or Baltimore, MD. Salaries will be listed based on location at the bottom of the description. Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available. As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nations warfighters. The ideal candidate will be supporting our SiAW 2.2 programs for defining and architecting and secure missile weapon system. This position will require close collaboration with team members of other projects within the organization for security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers. Roles and Responsibilities
A successful candidate will have the qualities and essential functional expertise to: Develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems based on requirements. Design, develop, code, test and debug system software. Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle activities in an agile environment. Software requirements verification and validation. Basic Qualifications for an Embedded Software Engineer (T02):
+ Bachelors Degree in a STEM related field with 2 years Computer Engineering or Software Engineering experience, or Masters with 0 years Computer Engineering or Software Engineering. + Experience with one or more software languages/technologies: C/C++, Java, Python, C#. + Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance are required. + Experience in embedded software development. + A year or more of experience working in an Agile team. + Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance, United States citizenship is a prerequisite. Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with software version control tools such as Git. + Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems. + Experience with embedded C++ optimization and using tools such as VxWorks. + Hands on hardware integration and testing experience. + Ability to debug complex integrated applications or test setup issues. + Experience using Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, SonarQube. + Active Secret Clearance. Northridge, CA 89,400.00 - 134,200.00 USD Annual Baltimore, MD 85,400.00 - 128,000.00 USD Annual Tucson, AZ 77,200.00 - 115,800.00 USD Annual Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $134,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
