Staff Embedded Software Engineer (Level 5)
to join our team. This position will be in
Northridge, CA , but can work out of
Tucson, AZ , or
Baltimore, MD . Relocation assistance may be available. This role may require travel as part of program activities. Responsibilities
Develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems based on requirements. Design, develop, code, test and debug system software. Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle activities in an agile environment. Software requirements verification and validation. Basic qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 10 years, OR Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Self-starters and able to efficiently operate in a team environment. Experience with one or more software languages/technologies: C/C++, Java, Python, C#. Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance. Experience in embedded software development. At least one year of experience working in an Agile team. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; United States citizenship is a prerequisite. Preferred qualifications
Experience with software version control tools such as Git. Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems. Experience with embedded C++ optimization and tools such as VxWorks. Hands-on hardware integration and testing experience. Ability to debug complex integrated applications or test setup issues. Experience using Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, SonarQube. Product owner experience. Active Secret Clearance. Compensation and location

Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Long Term Incentives may apply for VP/Director levels.
