American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and RCIS or ARRT certification for a Level 1 trauma acute care cardiac cath lab. Responsibilities Work in a cardiac cath lab within an acute care, Level 1 trauma setting Department contains 3 suites: two diagnostic and one hybrid OR suite primarily for TAVR procedures Typical daily caseload is 1015 cases including CAD, shock, advanced heart failure, pre/post cardiac transplant, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy Cases are limited to cath lab procedures; EP and IR are performed in separate departments except for emergent pacers Uses EPIC for charting and EMR, and additional equipment including MERGE, GE, AGFA, and IVUS Day shift scheduled as 4x10s (7:30 AM 6:00 PM) with self-scheduling and flexibility for 3x12s if needed On call required: 1 night per week and one weekend every 4 to 6 weeks, with a 30-minute response time No floating required outside cath lab Responsibilities include operating X-ray equipment during procedures, sterile prep, managing case-specific equipment, and image uploading/review in IVUS Unit does not require floating to IR or EP; focus is exclusively in the cath lab OR scrubs are provided Initial orientation is one week, with the option for a two-week orientation upon request Previous IR or procedure technologists interested in transitioning to cath lab are encouraged to apply Holiday call coverage is negotiable depending on unit needs Call response time is 30 minutes Requirements
Current RCIS or ARRT credential required Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab technologist experience BLS and ACLS certifications required COVID and flu vaccinations required Radiologic Technologist skills strongly preferred Experience with Epic EMR and GE, AGFA, IVUS equipment preferred Benefits
