American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with at least one year of hospital-based CT experience for an acute care assignment. Responsibilities Acute care setting covering both CT and general radiology departments Work with Siemens 128-slice CT scanners, Carestream DR portables, and OEC c-arms Perform a variety of CT studies including strokes, traumagrams, heads, and chest/abdomen/pelvis exams, as well as X-ray chest, extremity, and c-arm cases Department has two CT scanners, five DR portables, and one DR radiology room Average volume of approximately 100 exams per day between CT and X-ray Uses Cerner EMR and Merge PACS systems Schedule is 10-hour night shifts, Sunday through Wednesday from 21:00 to 07:30 Weekend work is required Floating between X-ray and CT is expected Responsibilities include independently performing CT and general radiology imaging procedures 3 days of department-specific orientation provided Blue scrubs provided for OR and turquoise required in the main department Radiology supervisor or lead tech support present during all shifts Radiologist on site daily from 8am to 6pm Candidates must submit two professional references, including one supervisor reference from the last 12 months Returning employees must not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity Health, within the past year Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of recent CT experience; hospital and ER experience required Certified CT Technologist with ARRT (CT), ARRT X-ray, and California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and Fluoroscopy certifications Current BLS and LA City Fire Life Safety certification required Active state license required if applicable; pending licenses are not accepted Experience with Siemens CT equipment and Carestream DR systems preferred Comfortable with a fast-paced trauma environment Benefits
