Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 10/13/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, evenings Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in an acute care setting, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and strong independent skills. Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital radiology department with a focus on CT and general X-ray Only staff member in the department during graveyard shifts (11pm-7am) Typical shift is 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays with a float day, or 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM Tuesday through Thursday Average caseload of 2-6 CT scans and 1-4 X-rays per night Procedures performed include CT with and without contrast (head, spine, abdomen, pelvis, CTA PE, runoff, extremities) and general X-ray (chest, PICC line placement, tube placement, trauma) Department is equipped with a Toshiba 64 Slice CT Scanner, Carestream X-ray room, and a new GE portable X-ray Epic and McKesson PACS are used for charting and imaging May need to float between CT and General X-ray as needed Responsibilities include conducting CT and X-ray exams, independently managing overnight caseload, and starting IVs if needed Holiday coverage is required if scheduled on a holiday Scrubs of your choosing may be worn EPIC training will be held in Tacoma, followed by one week of on-site training First-time travelers will be considered Former employees of the facility within the last year are not eligible to return No call is required for this position Requirements Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a CT Technologist Active WA state license required for consideration; license required if applicable Current ARRT (CT) certification required Current BLS certification from AHA required Ability to work independently without on-site radiologist or RN support during overnight hours Must be able to start IVs as needed Experience with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS preferred Must provide or be willing to obtain a radiation badge Copy of driver’s license required Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-609616.
