What we're looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic Planner to join our successful team at Winvic Construction, a multi-disciplinary main contractor based in the Midlands. We excel in delivering construction projects on a national scale, with project values ranging from 10m to over 60m across sectors including industrial, retail, residential, offices, industrial fit-out, and infrastructure. What you'll get 26 days of annual leave plus additional long service entitlement
You will liaise with the tender team to demonstrate logistics, establish the optimal build sequence, and incorporate the agreed earthworks strategy. Responsibilities include highlighting programme concerns & opportunities for each tender, preparing tender programmes with supporting graphics, and pricing associated preliminaries. You will attend meetings and tender interviews as required, contribute to presentations, and conduct regular site visits to monitor progress against programmes, producing assessments for internal and client meetings. You will also assess the impact of variations or changes on programmes. The Role
We currently have a particular need within our
Industrial Sector . Reporting to the Managing Planner, the successful candidate will handle a varied workload of tender and live projects. Experience & Qualifications Strong communication and organizational skills to support multiple teams, including sites, tender teams, and planning department. Proficiency in Asta Powerproject software, with good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Industry qualifications such as ONC/HNC, B Eng, NVQ, or equivalent experience. Construction knowledge and experience in planning activities on multiple projects of various types to meet deadlines. Ideally located within reasonable travel distance of our Midlands (Northampton) Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the tender team to demonstrate logistics and establish the optimal build sequence, highlighting concerns and opportunities. Prepare tender programmes with graphics and price associated preliminaries. Attend meetings and tender interviews, contributing to presentations. Develop comprehensive programmes for live projects, including contract, construction, design, and procurement schedules. Create detailed sequence graphics and attend meetings as necessary. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and produce assessments for internal and client meetings. Assess the impact of variations or changes on programmes. Prepare completion programmes.
