Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions. Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and architects to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Provide application support, debugging, and performance optimization for existing systems. Contribute to modernization efforts, including the integration of mainframe systems with distributed or cloud platforms. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and follow established SDLC processes. Document technical solutions and ensure compliance with organizational coding standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications: 12 years of hands-on mainframe development experience. Programming & Data Management: COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2. Optional but Preferred CICS. Experience with development tools such as IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) and version control systems like GIT. Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams. Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in production and development environments.
