Mainframe Developer

Job Description: Required: • Experience of serving in increasingly responsible roles with IBM mainframe applications development, testing, and production support. • Strong technical experience with COBOL II, CICS, DB2, Z/OS, VSAM, TSO, Syncsort, DB2 utilities, JCL, and IBM Utilities and related mainframe technologies. • Maintaining and debugging of CICS applications, Cobol batch processing and DB2 stored procedures. • Knowledge of Top Secret in mainframe applications IAM and application-level security controls. • Proficiency with both batch and online processing in mainframe environment • In-depth experience in SQL queries, database operations and reporting • Must have participated in application on-call support rotation

Preferred: • Experience converting mainframe Cobol applications to modern distributed applications using Java, Python etc. • Knowledge of IBM Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI), Watson Code Assistant for Z (WCA4Z) or other AI based tools for code generation and code conversion • Experience with IBM development/testing utilities, BMC Control products. • Change Management, Control-D reports • Knowledge of FFEL program, student loan applications. • Possess awareness of non-public information (NPI) privacy safeguards
