Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems presents an excellent opportunity for a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer-Network Security Engineer III (25-393) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This position, based in Colorado Springs, CO, plays a critical role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not offer relocation support and requires on-site work with no remote options available. Position Overview

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, providing an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Essential Functions

Will serve as the primary Network Security Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program Responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network at operational sites Must independently research different networking and security topics and generate reports on the findings Ensure the team's devices comply with STIGs and are appropriately secured, along with executing any necessary Cyber protocols Be proficient in implementing standard DoD security practices, such as STIG compliance and system accreditation efforts Understand the fundamentals of VMware and ESXi STIGing/hardening. Be aware of STIG compliance and POAMS Must be an effective communicator with strong writing and presentation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network and system engineers Must be able to document project design and development efforts thoroughly Must be able to collaborate with other departments to explain network security requirements and ensure compliance Must be willing to learn the basics of security hardening for a variety of niche products, software, and applications Must be proficient in summarizing, briefing, and proposing solutions to security issues for leadership Be able to design security configurations and test procedures Know the NIST CVE framework Have experience with virtualization Possess an intermediate understanding of security design, development, and testing methods Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Engineering, Network Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start Applicants must have a current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CASP+CE, GSEC, SSCP, CND, GICSP, etc.), which is required to start Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs Understand the OSI Model, TCP/IP, VLANs, and UDP Multicast Know firewall configuration, including Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto Be familiar with ACL design and function Gain hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco) Preferred Qualifications

Scripting knowledge in Python, Ansible, PowerShell (Desired) Solid understanding of JUNOS (Desired) Prior C2BMC experience (Desired) What We Can Offer You
