Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions (CS) is seeking a well-qualified Network Communications Engineer specialized in VMware network virtualization to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Roy, UT area. This position may also be filled in our Huntsville, Alabama location. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time. Responsibilities

Maintain smooth operation of LAN/WAN/VPNs. Configure and maintain VMware NSX to ensure network virtualization and security posture across multiple networks. Plan, design, configure, and install network hardware in support of customer requirements. Maintain technical expertise in networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc. Propose solutions to management to meet communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Create and ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provide regular monitoring and network analysis for short and long-range planning of in-house systems. Perform troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems. Configure, install, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls. Implement and troubleshoot LAN technologies such as VLANs, trunking, Spanning-Tree, and Port Security. Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems; periodically provide after-hours and weekend support. Note: This position may be filled at the Principal or Senior Principal level, depending on years of experience required. Basic Qualifications

Principal Level: Bachelors degree and 6 years of related experience, or Masters degree and 4 years of related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Senior Principal Level: Bachelors degree and 8 years of related experience, or Masters degree and 5 years of related experience; an equivalent combination may be considered. Active DoD Secret level security clearance and the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance as required by program/customer; ability to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP) as needed. Current CompTIA Security+ (or higher) certification within 90 days of employment. Current VMware Certified Professional Network Virtualization within 90 days of employment. Experience designing and maintaining LAN, WAN, and Cloud-based networks; experience managing routing protocols in Enterprise environments. Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto network hardware; experience with encryption devices (TACLANES) and GEM One/GEM X Enterprise Encryptor Management server. Experience implementing security best practices including Cisco ICE and TACACS+; experience with Cisco CUCM. Experience with network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Opnet, SolarWinds); proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds; ability to work after hours and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in IS-related field with 6+ years of experience. Active DoD Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SAPs as required. Experience troubleshooting network procedures and system integration challenges, including COTS integration and capacity analysis. Current CASP+ or CCNP Security or equivalent security certification; current VMware Advanced Professional Network Virtualization Deploy certification. Strong skills in WAN technologies (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF) and in managing enterprise network design and deployment; experience with COTS integration and system architecture design. Experience interfacing with customers and managing installation timelines and deliverables; ability to design and implement enterprise networks and recommend data, voice, or video investments based on performance assessments. Salary ranges: Primary Level: $86,600.00 $130,000.00; Secondary Level: $107,800.00 $161,800.00. The salary may be adjusted based on factors such as responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives where applicable.
