Overview
SUPERVISOR OF GRANTS ADMINISTRATION Capital Finance, Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) Location: 10510 West Zemke Road | Days: Monday Friday | Hours: 8:30 am 4:30 pm Starting Salary: $97,836; Grade: BX-19 Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59 pm CDT on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Responsibilities Under direction, supervises and/or participates in the preparation, review, and administration of government grants for a variety of departmental or City-wide programs, and performs related duties as required. Process and submit reimbursement requests through systems such as Delphi. Review invoices and project expenditures for allowability under federal and state grant guidelines (e.g., AIP, BIL, AIG). Monitor grant budgets and prepare financial tracking tools in coordination with the Finance Department. Maintain documentation for all active and closed grants in an audit-ready state. Prepare and submit quarterly SF-425 reports and SF-271 annual and other required documents. Coordinate responses to grantor agency audits and monitor reviews. Track grant deadlines, key milestones, and closeout dates. Assist with limited pre-award tasks such as data gathering for applications or grant research when needed. Assign and monitor the work of staff engaged in various grant administration activities. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Grants Management. Additional duties may be required for this position.
Minimum Qualifications
Eight (8) years of work experience in grants administration, OR Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a directly related field, plus six (6) years of work experience in grants administration, OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a directly related field, plus four (4) years of work experience in grants administration, OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Administration or a directly related field, plus three (3) years of work experience in grants administration
