Application Architect Opening
CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect opening for our client in St. Louis, MO. Location: St. Louis, MO Duration: 12 months Duties: Design and oversee the architecture of Java- and web-based applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. Define system-wide standards, frameworks, and coding practices to align with business objectives. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into architectural designs. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams. Evaluate and integrate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve delivery efficiency. Support DevOps initiatives, Agile methodologies, and Test-Driven Development practices. Ensure seamless integration of applications with legacy platforms and enterprise systems. Skills: Strong expertise in Java, JEE, JDBC, Java design patterns, and architectural patterns. Proficiency with frameworks and tools: Spring, Hibernate, EJB, JPA, JAX-RS, JAX-WS, Struts, JSF, JSPs, Java Servlets. Knowledge of SOA, Web Services, Dependency Injection, Java Collections, threads, concurrency. Experience with Application Servers (WebLogic, WebSphere), clustering, and high-availability architectures. Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, Agile methodologies, and Test-Driven Development. Strong problem-solving and system-integration skills. Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in application development and architecture. Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Java applications. Proven track record in defining technology standards and ensuring compliance across projects. Hands-on experience integrating modern applications with legacy platforms. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000.
