Manufacturing Plant Manager – Steel Fabrication
Full-Time | Salaried (Exempt)
Our client is seeking an experienced
Plant Manager
to lead daily operations at our steel fabrication facility. This role oversees two shifts and requires both strong leadership and a hands-on approach. Key Responsibilities: Manage production of bulk material conveyors, support structures, platforms, chutes, bins, and other welded steel equipment.
Lead, develop, and support foremen, welders, fabricators, machinists, and assemblers.
Ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery across multiple projects.
Oversee scheduling, materials, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and HR on workflow, hiring, and training.
Drive process improvements, cost control, and strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Business, Welding, Engineering, or related field
OR
5+ years managing a steel fabrication facility.
Strong knowledge of welding/fabrication standards (AWS, AISC), plant equipment, safety, and quality practices.
Proven leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, ERP systems, and CAD/AutoCAD a plus.
