Data Center Engineer/ Operation Data Center Lead

Manage labs and data centers using DCIM tools, spreadsheets, and task-tracking systems.
Collaborate with platform, systems administrators, and SRE teams to review power and space metrics and implement improvements.
Engage third-party support vendors as required.
Act as the central point of contact for all data-center floor issues.
Liaise with the DCEO for day-to-day operations.
Coordinate with DCEO, platform, and engineering teams to resolve critical incidents.
Contribute to operations projects such as monitoring and digital-twin implementations.
Ensure internal DCIM records are updated for each new system installation or migration.
Publish weekly status reports covering rack units (RU), power utilization, and cooling.
Process and manage access requests.
Monitor and track PUE and cooling statistics.
Develop and maintain SOPs for operations and ensure EHS compliance across sites.
Coordinate DC-floor data collection for audits, including equipment records and energy (ISO 50001) documentation.
What we need to see
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience leading data-center operations.
5+ years of hands-on systems administration experience.
Experience in systems planning.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ways to stand out
Experience with Visio and CAD for lab/R D projects and rack management.
Datacenter or lab procurement experience.
Experience handling PDUs and power systems in lab environments.
Working knowledge of basic SQL queries for DCIM reporting.
