Examples of Duties: - Coordinates computer data storage, network and programming activities with computer professionals. - Researches information and assists in responding to open records requests. - Provides technical assistance and instruction concerning the operation and use of equipment and materials. - Tracks and catalogs body camera, in-car and other law enforcement and public protection agency videos. - Retrieves and provides copied video for court, open records, and other requests. - Testifies in court regarding data security, chain of custody, integrity of evidentiary data and collection and retention protocols related to departmental videos. - Follows established guidelines to ensure data is handled to evidentiary standards and retention schedule is followed. - Coordinates with technology professionals and vendors regarding technical services, software technology systems and hardware related to digital video. - Trains department staff on the use of equipment. - Assists with the procurement and implementation of new equipment and software applications related to collection, storage, organization, security, reproduction and dissemination of departmental videos. - Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: - Associates Degree in Communications, Computer Science, Business or Public Administration or related discipline. - One (1) year of computerized records cataloging, storage and retrieval experience. - Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Other Minimum Requirements - Must be of good moral character, with no criminal or felony record inconsistent with the provisions of this paragraph. - Unacceptable will be persons who have been convicted of a felony, or who have any criminal action pending against them. - Misdemeanor convictions will be considered on an individual basis. - An applicant may be disqualified for multiple misdemeanors, an unacceptable criminal record, or multiple traffic violations. - Must submit to a pre-employment drug screening. - Must submit to a pre-employment polygraph test. - Applicants who have illegally bought or used marijuana, including medicinal cannabis, within six months of application will be disqualified. - Applicants who have illegally sold marijuana, including medicinal cannabis, within one year of application will be disqualified. - Applicants who have illegally bought, sold, or used any controlled substance or narcotic drug, other than marijuana, without a prescription within six years of application will be disqualified.

Physical Demands - Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
