The Procurement Manager - Indirect Materials is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for indirect categories (e.g., MRO, utilities, packaging, plant services, IT, professional services, freight, and capital equipment). This role ensures cost competitiveness, supplier reliability, risk management, and alignment with corporate objectives. The position requires close collaboration with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Corporate Functions to deliver value, compliance, and continuous improvement across the global enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect materials and services, balancing cost, quality, service, and risk. Manage supplier negotiations to secure competitive terms and long-term value. Identify and qualify new suppliers to strengthen supply resilience and innovation. Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
Establish supplier scorecards, track KPIs, and lead regular business reviews. Partner with suppliers to drive cost reductions, efficiency gains, and sustainability initiatives. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, governance standards, and ethical sourcing practices. Financial & Risk Management
Deliver annual savings and cost-avoidance targets for indirect categories. Monitor market trends, cost drivers, and risk exposures affecting indirect spend. Collaborate with Finance on budget, accruals, and variance analysis. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Operations and Engineering on capital procurement and MRO strategies. Work with IT, HR, and Corporate Functions to streamline service and subscription agreements. Engage with EHS and Compliance to ensure safety, sustainability, and regulatory alignment. Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Optimize purchase-to-pay (P2P) processes. Lead initiatives to optimize vendor base and demand management. Support global procurement governance and share best practices across regions.
