Director of Global IT Infrastructure and Security

Position Summary

The Director of Global IT Infrastructure and Security is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, management, and security of global technology infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role works closely with senior leadership to ensure IT initiatives align with business objectives. The position focuses on safeguarding digital assets, ensuring infrastructure resilience and scalability, and fostering a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Leadership

Develop and execute a vision, strategy, and roadmap for IT infrastructure and security aligned with business goals. Lead and motivate a diverse, multinational technical team, fostering professional growth and innovation. Partner with stakeholders to understand current and future technology needs, integrating security by design. Direct the architecture, deployment, and management of datacenters, cloud environments, networks, servers, storage, and end-user computing solutions. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of all mission-critical systems. Establish and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) with internal teams and external vendors. Drive modernization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. Develop and implement enterprise-wide security strategies, policies, and frameworks. Oversee risk identification, assessment, and mitigation. Ensure compliance with regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, ISO 27001, NIST). Lead incident response and crisis management during security breaches or outages. Promote cybersecurity awareness throughout the organization. Research emerging technologies and trends in infrastructure and security; recommend and implement relevant solutions. Drive adoption of automation, orchestration, and AI/ML in IT operations and security. Measure and report on the maturity and effectiveness of IT practices. Develop and manage global IT infrastructure and security budgets. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with key vendors. Prioritize investments to maximize business value and optimize costs. Define and implement governance structures and processes. Conduct audits and assessments to identify gaps and ensure adherence to best practices. Report on IT risk management and compliance to executive leadership and the board. Develop and maintain business continuity plans across regions. Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to senior leadership on infrastructure and security. Communicate complex technical risks and concepts to non-technical audiences. Collaborate across business units to enable secure, reliable technology solutions. Global IT Infrastructure Oversight

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field required. Masters degree or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, PMP, ITIL) strongly preferred. Minimum 15 years of progressive IT experience, including 10+ years in leadership roles overseeing infrastructure and/or security at a global scale. 3-5 years experience with cloud and hybrid environment security. Proven ability to manage complex, distributed IT environments across multiple regions. Demonstrated success leading transformational technology initiatives. Technical Skills and Competencies

Expertise in enterprise architecture, datacenter and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, virtualization, storage, and backup. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, threat detection, vulnerability management, IAM, and incident response. Understanding of regulatory requirements across global markets. Familiarity with automation, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Work Environment and Travel

This is a global role requiring flexibility across time zones and cultures. Occasional international travel is expected for leadership, vendor engagement, and strategic planning.
