JOB SUMMARY
Join our team at Scientific Protein Laboratories (SPL), a world leader in biosourced pharmaceuticals, located just outside of Madison, Wisconsin in Waunakee! SPL is an innovative biopharmaceutical leader with unique products and services supporting the pharmaceutical industry globally. For over 40 years, SPL specializes in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). SPL has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Manager Manufacturing.
This position is responsible to provide leadership to key process operators to maintain smooth operation at the front and back end of production. The Manufacturing Manager must work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and other Manufacturing personnel to foster a team environment. The role of the manufacturing manager is to aid in the development of processing metrics and improvement projects, and to provide support to quality systems as appropriate.
Responsibilities include : Ensure readiness prior to startup of each batch Ensure smooth transitions of each batch to quality/sales Identify and execute process improvement initiatives Develop data analysis and tools to identify weak spots in production Interface with quality to aid in the development of CAPAs, completion of investigations etc. Ensure readiness prior to startup of each batch Ensure smooth transitions of each batch to quality/sales Provide technical support to production and maintenance personnel. Carry out other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications :
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate's Degree or above in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Reliability) or related discipline.
Experience: 2 plus years of experience required; 5 plus years of experience preferred
