Tessera is hiring a Production Control Technician Lead to support Base Maintenance Contract (BMC) operations at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). This role focuses on maintaining accurate maintenance records, processing service orders in Maximo, tracking shop performance data, and generating reports that support operational efficiency. Responsibilities also include coordinating service appointments, monitoring repair progress, and ensuring precise documentation. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support in a mission-critical environment.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Collect and track operational data to ensure accurate and efficient shop performance.
Serve as the subject matter expert in Planning & Work Control software, including Maximo and GFEBS.
Verify data entries using time/attendance sheets, hour verification logs, and other records for consistency.
Maintain facility and equipment databases and compile required reports.
Manage accurate service records and coordinate customer appointments.
Monitor production reports for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and process work orders for scheduled facility and equipment maintenance.
Train employees and new hires on safety procedures, work order processes, and reporting requirements.
Generate and maintain reports such as schedules, timekeeping logs, and performance metrics.
Ensure contract compliance through quality service and documentation.
Manage and secure government-issued keys, vehicles, and phones; ensure buildings are locked and safe upon exit.
Communicate professionally and courteously with customers and team members.
Foster positive working relationships across departments and maintain a professional appearance
Qualifications:
5 – 8 years experience in data processing, maintenance coordination, or related fields
Prior experience with work control systems such as Maximo and GFEBS strongly preferred
Familiarity with USAFA facility operations and Base Maintenance Contract (BMC) procedures is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook
Effective communication and customer service abilities
Ability to train others on safety, reporting, and work control procedures
Problem-solving mindset with flexibility and sound judgment
Physical Requirements:
