Job Duties

The Director of Administrative Operations is responsible for the oversight of all strategic operations, special projects and events, and internal and external strategic partnerships.

Duties include but are not limited to: overseeing and managing strategic operations; developing and implementing policies and procedures; coordinating human resource functions; managing game contracts and scheduling; ensuring NCAA reporting compliance; serving as operations liaison with internal and external stakeholders; administering governance processes; overseeing business operations, including account reconciliation and financial reporting; and directing special projects and events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with NSU, Commonwealth of Virginia, NCAA and MEAC rules, regulations and policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree • Minimum five years' experience administrative or business operations • Experience in higher education in an athletics program, conference office or an affiliate company • Budget and account reconciliation experience and oversight • Experience required includes creating standard operating procedures and manuals • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • A successful criminal background check is required.

Additional Considerations

Minimum three years' experience in athletics administration. Experience working for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Experience in human resources and compliance.
