The Impact You Will Have

The Associate Director is responsible for leading the financial analysis, market research, capital marketing, underwriting, and closing processes as part of a leading loan originations team. The Associate Director works closely with the originator on the sourcing and structuring of transactions.

Primary Responsibilities Demonstrate an understanding of the history and function of Fannie Mae, Fannie Mae DUS, DUS Lenders, Freddie Mac and Freddie Mac Program Plus Assist loan originators to identify and pursue new business leads, maintain existing client relationships, and manage the sales pipeline Conduct detailed economic and demographic research to determine feasibility of transactions Evaluate and manage risk issues using a comprehensive risk management approach Ability to train and to lead development of analysts Assist in the review and analysis of financing proposals and commitments Write, prepare and assemble Investment Memoranda Analyze new proposed debt requirements and loan scenarios for our clients Manage transactions across several stages from initial identification through final loan closing Develop strong relationships with all internal and external clients Work with interns and analysts to coordinate tasks or delegate projects Input and model multifamily data for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan sizers Assist in crafting GSE Narratives for submission to the Deputy Chief Underwriter. Present clients with due diligence checklist for quote packages Manage and track debt quotes, to be presented to clients in a debt matrix Create Agency and Capital Markets submission packages Serve as a liaison between production, underwriting, and closing as deals are processed Communicate and problem solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and external agency business partners Perform other duties as assigned In office attendance is generally Monday through Friday Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree required (prefer finance and/or real estate concentration) 3+ years of commercial real estate experience Knowledge of Fannie Mae's DUS and Freddie Mac's Program Plus products is required Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac multifamily production or underwriting experience a plus CPA, CFA or CCIM a plus Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Possess a working knowledge of commercial loan diligence and closing processes Excellent financial modeling skills including thorough knowledge of Excel, and ARGUS a plus Proficiency in MS Outlook and Word, and ability to learn Salesforce and other company software as needed Proven written and oral communication skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to accurately and productively handle multiple tasks during time sensitive situations Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders This position has an estimated base salary of $115,000 - $125,000 plus discretionary production incentives. An employment offer is based on the applicant's relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
