Position Summary: Reporting to the IT Operations Manager North America, and based in Dallas, TX, this position will provide support for the Bodycote Infrastructure globally.
Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following. Strong presentation skills and the ability to speak verbally to our customer base. Ability to function effectively within a team environment. Responsibility for resolving incidents & requests in line with the defined ITIL-based processes and to agreed Business service levels. Set up and delivery of Windows endpoints tothe customer base. Assist in maintaining and monitoring our Windows Server 2003 through 2012 environments. Day-to-day management of the Bodycote infrastructure covering technologies around AD, Group Policy, Servers/OS & Storage, Backup, Email, WAN/LAN, Security, Internet, Remote Access, and Thin Client. To include monitoring, auditing, checking availability & capacity, patching, and applying changes in line with the agreed change management process. Collaborate globally with Bodycote IT resources, supporting over 3400 IT users in over 190 locations speaking English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Czech, Swedish, Finnish, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese, Turkish, and Chinese. Involvement in new and ongoing BAU IT projects to upgrade and improve the Bodycote infrastructure. Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism. May have access to compensation information of other employees or applicants in this role, and as such cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to other individuals. May have access to proprietary and third-party information necessary to the business, and as such will perform duties ethically and professionally. Education - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting a complex Windows-based environment. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ +, MCP, or demonstrable experience in these areas. Strong technical background, especially covering Active Directory, Exchange, Mimecast, DNS, Terminal Services, and Meraki. Strong Citrix Skills, Windows Server 2003 through 2012, and Windows 7 through Windows 11 Operating Systems. Good understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Switches). Backup Technologies (Redstor), Anti-Virus technologies (Sophos, Cylance). Working knowledge of ticketing systems - HaloITSM a plus. Demonstrate excellence in oral and written communication. Must have a flexible approach; a sense of teamwork is essential. Ability to work well and continue to deliver results under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to establish credibility quickly. Self-motivated with the ability to work without direct management control. Must be able to work and communicate effectively with customers/suppliers/peers at all levels in a professional manner. Must be willing to travel and to stay away from home as and when requested to suit customer requirements. Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to, the following.
Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at a desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment. Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions. Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions. Ability to lift 25-30 lbs. May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc. Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc. Ability to hear in person and via phone.
