ABOUT THE ROLE
The Aggregate Plant Operations Manager plays a crucial role in leading our plant's operations, ensuring the efficient mining of raw materials and the production of high-quality shippable products. You will manage day-to-day activities, coordinating closely with various departments to fulfill Aggregate Dispatcher requests promptly and cost-effectively.
Your responsibilities include supervising staff, monitoring inventory, and analyzing production efficiencies to maximize equipment usage and productivity. As a key member of the management team, you will also develop strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency while prioritizing safety and controlling costs.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Identify and capitalize on operational opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Balance customer needs with the company’s long-term interests.
Implement effective production and scheduling strategies that drive productivity and ensure safe operations.
Lead and manage team performance while upholding fiscal integrity in plant operations.
Delegate tasks effectively, focusing on accountability and performance evaluations.
Engage with site crew members, including plant and loader operators, to foster a collaborative work environment.
Oversee production schedules and maintain preventative maintenance routines.
Ensure adequate inventory levels are upheld to meet customer requirements.
Manage the rail circuit loading and unloading between the designated locations.
Advocate for health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a safety-first culture.

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Preferred Field of Study:
Mining Engineering, Management Required Work Experience:
5-7 years of experience in Aggregate Mining and related Raw Materials Plant Production Required Technical Skills:
Proficient in computer operations; experience with SAP is a plus.
