Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to fabricate and shape sheet metal components according to precise specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with various fabrication tools.
Duties
Operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal parts as per engineering specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the appropriate machining processes. Set up and adjust machine settings for optimal performance and accuracy. Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet required tolerances and specifications. Collaborate with team members to assemble components using various tools including milling machines, lathes, and stamping presses. Utilize cranes for the safe movement of heavy materials within the production area. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Bilingual a plus. Proficient in operating press brake machines with a solid understanding of their mechanics. Experience in fabricating sheet metal parts and familiarity with machining processes. Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate them into actionable tasks. Knowledge of additional machinery such as milling machines, lathes, and stamping presses is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during production processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills for collaboration with colleagues.
