Job Summary

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner provides human resources consultation and support to designated business groups to define and execute HR strategies that enable the achievement of business objectives. Acts in the development, planning, and implementation of engagement, compliance, and procedures aligned with Sundt's strategic objectives. Utilizes knowledge of various HR functions to provide tactical support to line managers. Key Responsibilities

Administers unemployment platform working with a third party to address claims. Advocates company policies and procedures by communicating the business value of HR initiatives and managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption. Conducts various complex investigations, audits, outside charges, reporting requirements, training, and other tasks as needed in line with applicable company policy or regulatory directives. Executes annual tactical plans and strategies to drive key business results focused on recruitment, improving employee engagement, and retention. Maintains awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business units under HR purview. Provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of the employment life cycle (including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.). Serves as a trusted advisor to employee-owners and managers by providing effective assistance in employee relations while fostering trust that enhances the employee-owner experience. Supervises staff of HR contributors. Supports various HR processes, systems, and communications, including terminations, employee benefits administration, and Sundt Spirit Day events. Works with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues. Minimum Job Requirements

Ability to travel across the country including construction job sites where PPE is required. Travel is 15-20%. Educational experience should include a combination of college courses and/or certificate courses in Human Resources development. Prefer certifications in PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP. Must have HR supervisory experience. Ideally 5+ years of leadership experience. Strong knowledge of leadership principles and best practices. Strong knowledge of legal employment procedures and multi-state oversight. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex employee relations matters. Knowledge of ADA and Interactive Process. Ten (10) years of related HR experience within construction/heavy manufacturing. HR experience to include heavy employee relations, employee engagement measurement, labor compliance (e.g., E-Verify requirements), and other Department of Labor audits/investigations (e.g., OSHA, EEOC, Wage and Hour). Bilingual in Spanish/English is highly preferred. Physical Requirements

May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis. Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day. Will lift, push or pull objects up to pounds on an occasional basis. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for the entire duration of a shift/work day.
