Oracle ERP/Database Administration This role supports and maintains Enterprise Oracle ERP (R12) environments and associated databases across on?prem and cloud platforms. It focuses on availability, performance, and security of ERP systems, partnering with IT infrastructure, application development, and business operations teams. The role includes routine tasks as well as upgrades, migrations, and cloud adoption initiatives. Location
This position is remote and may require occasional on?call or weekend support as part of a rotational schedule. Responsibilities
Administer, support, and maintain Oracle ERP R12 environments, Oracle Databases (19c+), and middleware components such as WebLogic and Tomcat across on?prem and cloud platforms (including OCI and Exadata). Manage system administration functions such as user/role setup, concurrent managers, workflow services, and notification mailer. Plan and execute patching, upgrades, code migrations, and disaster recovery activities with a focus on security and compliance (SOX, audit). Configure and maintain technologies such as RAC, PCP, RMAN, DataGuard, and perform backup/recovery and performance tuning. Support daily DBA activities including installation, cloning, capacity planning, system monitoring, SR management, and documentation. Act as a liaison and consultant to internal teams for database design, high availability, replication, and system architecture. Lead or contribute to knowledge?sharing, documentation, and team development initiatives. Provide 24/7 support on a rotational basis, including shift and weekend work as needed. Familiarity with project management tools to plan, track, and follow through on tasks/projects. Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, capable of updating and maintaining sprint and quarterly release plans accordingly. Minimum Requirements
Experience 5+ years of hands?on experience administering large?scale Oracle ERP and database systems. Proven experience supporting Oracle EBS R12, Oracle Database (19c+), and WebLogic/Tomcat environments. Demonstrated ability to manage backup, recovery, patching, and high availability solutions (RAC, DataGuard, RMAN). Knowledge & Skills Strong technical knowledge of Oracle EBS system administration and database internals. Skilled in Unix/Linux system environments, shell scripting, and database performance tuning. Familiarity with database migration tools (Data Pump, Transportable Tablespaces) and disaster recovery strategies. Key Attributes Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Proactive and collaborative team player with a focus on continuous improvement. Extra Points Experience Prior experience supporting Oracle databases in OCI or Exadata environments. Exposure to additional platforms such as SQL Server or Postgres. Experience working in highly regulated environments with audit and compliance responsibilities. Knowledge & Skills Familiarity with Oracle Advanced Security, OD&A, and financial reporting tools.
