Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for a full-time Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
Job Details: Location : F&M Campus - Lancaster, PA Classification : Full-time, Exempt Schedule : 40 hours, Monday to Friday. Evenings and weekends may be required on occasion. Reports to : Director of Corporate, Foundation, & Community Partnerships Department : College Advancement Approved Salary Range : $47,350 - $54,000.00 Job Description:
The Associate Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations assists in the successful identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of organizational prospects. This position seeks funding for institutional priorities from national and regional foundations, staffed family foundations and national and local corporations. The Associate Director supports efforts to enhance corporate support/sponsorship of college programming and oversees post-award processes ensuring timely delivery of all required reports and documents.
Essential Functions:
Catalyze the ongoing process of identifying, evaluating, and working with partners on campus to solicit foundation and corporate prospects to foster and sustain an expanding donor base committed to the College's current and emerging strategic initiatives; use Instruementl, GuideStar, and other Advancement or external databases or public web sites as necessary. Assist with proposal development for external support of approved institutional projects and programs by collecting, storing, and regularly updating data; help to conceptualize proposals; and assist with the writing process, including drafting, commenting on, and editing documents. Assume primary responsibility for the stewardship of organizational investors' support of institutional priorities through the timely preparation, revision, and submission of high-quality and professionally written reports, prepared in collaboration (as necessary) with other stakeholders within the College. In consultation with the Director of Corporate, Foundation and Community Partnerships, generate preliminary drafts of letters of inquiry and other types of proposals as workflow requires. Define creative strategies to expand CFR's contributions to achieving the College's fundraising goals. Conceptualize and pilot new approaches to enhancing corporate support via outright gifts, grants, or sponsorships. All other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree. 4 or more years of related professional work experience. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to achieve goals and provide excellent service to internal and external constituents. Ability to be an ambassador of the College, its mission and College Advancement. Proficiency in Google Suite Products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive). Commitment to community and belonging. Successful interview. Successful completion of background checks. Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in grant seeking and experience in grants administration within higher ed or nonprofit.
