Staff and Administrators This position works with the Sr. Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) on all aspects of the team's work, contributing directly to securing $2-5 million annually in funding commitments for faculty research and University programs, initiatives, and strategic priorities. Responsibilities include: Identifying and qualifying foundation and corporate prospects and funding opportunities; Developing cultivation/solicitation strategies; Managing relationships with prospects and donors; Preparing letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports, including writing, editing, and/or proofreading; Coordinating grant proposal review with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research; and Coordinating post-award stewardship and grants administration, including financial reporting with the Grant Accounting team. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree is required. Applicants should have 3 to 5 (5-7 preferred) years of corporate and foundation relations or related grant-writing experience in a higher education or similar non-profit environment. Candidates must have: Exceptional writing and editing skills, including being able to translate information from a variety of disciplines for different audiences; The ability to work on multiple assignments and meet deadlines; Demonstrated attention to detail; The ability to work with faculty and staff across campus, and with staff from foundations and corporations; and Knowledge of the corporate and foundation relations landscape.
