We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager at our Jonesboro location. The Procurement Manager oversees and coordinates the activities of the Purchasing Department following established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Oversee and direct the daily workflow of the Purchasing department, including supervising the Purchasing Agents, Senior Buyers, and Purchasing Clerks Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for raw materials, products, and acceptable substitutions Track and report on key metrics to reduce overall cost and improve on-time delivery Purchase raw materials and products within budget and schedule based on incoming orders and build dates Work with R&D on new product development, identifying, evaluating, and sourcing new suppliers and new purchased components Monitor raw material stocking levels to support current and future demand Work with A/P and Accounting to update the Purchasing processes (purchase orders, MRP, etc.) to be compatible with an ERP system Coordinate with Inventory Control to ensure that the company has a sufficient supply of materials it needs to operate. Balance quality with cost to ensure that the best purchases are made and limit how much money is tied up in supplies Stay up to date on overall market conditions and price trends that affect what is purchased Negotiate best vendor terms, pricing, and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements Perform any other related duties as required or assigned Qualifications

5 years of related management experience Ability to effectively communicate with customers, clients, employees and the general public Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. APICS certification preferred

Education

A bachelor's degree, plus 3 years of related experience and/or training is required.
