Job Description
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for
Utilizing technology and data to identify areas for improvement and efficiency Follow unit specific maintenance manuals for service intervals on aerial and other specialty equipment Carry out thorough inspections of vehicle systems Identify mechanical issues by reading and interpreting diagnostic tests Diagnose engine fault codes, wiring diagnostics, air brake systems, exhaust filtration and regeneration systems Repair or replace malfunctioning parts, including Maintaining clear communication with operators, company departments and senior management Scheduling and overseeing preventative maintenance, repairs, and ensuring vehicles are safe to operate Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies Managing the fleet's budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities Ensuring the fleet adheres to all relevant transportation laws and regulations Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with fleet operations MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The successful Fleet Manager will have the following qualifications
ASE certification preferred 5-7 years experience in fleet operations Interest and desire to expand your personal knowledge base to grow into other areas of the company Preferred Class A commercial driver's license Knowledge of safety policies, regulations, and a demonstrated record of excellent safety habits Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background screening High School Diploma or GED preferred What's on Offer
