Lead Toddler Teacher ! We're looking for someone who's nurturing, energetic, and committed to creating a positive, safe, and enriching environment for toddlers.
Duties:
Deliver high-quality care and early education aligned with the YMCA's values:
honesty, respect, responsibility and caring
Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities-arts & crafts, music, storytelling, outdoor play, and more
Support positive behavior and foster social-emotional growth
Supervise daily routines like meals, free play, and playground time
Build strong, positive relationships with families and conduct regular parent-teacher conferences
Maintain accurate classroom and program records
Participate in staff meetings, training, and family engagement events
Requirements:
At least
18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent required
CDA credential
or a related college degree
Completion of
DCF Introductory Child Care Training (Parts 1 & 2)
6 months to 1 year
of preschool teaching experience
Able to lift up to 40lbs and actively engage with children both indoors and outdoors
Perks & Pay:
Full-time, $16.00-$21.00/hour, based on experience. Health insurance & paid time off, 75% discount on preschool tuition, free before/after school care for school-age kids, household access to YMCA wellness centers, employer-paid retirement fund.
