Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Systems and Launch Systems Production Manager to lead our advanced manufacturing team. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire production lifecycle, from raw materials to final delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AI-driven manufacturing technologies, utilizing intelligent systems for dynamic planning, scheduling optimization, and resource allocation. The manager will lead, mentor, and train a team of elite technicians, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and on-time delivery are consistently met.

AI-Enhanced Planning and Scheduling: Implement and manage AI-powered scheduling software to create dynamic production schedules that adapt in real-time to internal and external variables, such as resource availability, equipment downtime, and supply chain disruptions. AI-Enhanced Planning and Scheduling: Leverage predictive analytics to forecast production needs, resource requirements, and potential bottlenecks, ensuring proactive solutions are implemented before issues arise. AI-Enhanced Planning and Scheduling: Integrate AI insights with ERP and MES systems to optimize resource utilization, minimize changeover times, and maximize production throughput. Technician Management and Workforce Augmentation: Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary team of production technicians and production staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Technician Management and Workforce Augmentation: Utilize AI-driven workforce management tools to optimize shift planning, allocate labor based on skills and workload demands, and ensure compliance with all labor regulations. Technician Management and Workforce Augmentation: Work alongside AI-driven cobots and automated systems, strategically integrating human and machine efforts to enhance safety, precision, and efficiency. AI-Powered Training and Development: Develop and implement AI-driven training modules and simulations to accelerate the learning curve for new and existing technicians on complex machinery and assembly procedures. AI-Powered Training and Development: Use augmented reality (AR) tools in training and on the production floor to provide visual, hands-free guidance to technicians, improving speed and accuracy. AI-Powered Training and Development: Create a data-driven training curriculum, using AI to identify skill gaps and personalize learning paths to build expertise within the team. On-Time Delivery and Quality Assurance: Monitor production output and KPIs in real-time, using AI-powered analytics to track progress against deadlines and quickly identify deviations. On-Time Delivery and Quality Assurance: Implement AI-driven quality control systems that use machine vision to automatically inspect components and detect flaws with greater accuracy and speed than manual methods. On-Time Delivery and Quality Assurance: Ensure rigorous testing protocols are followed, including thermal vacuum, vibration, and acoustic testing, to guarantee the reliability of flight hardware. On-Time Delivery and Quality Assurance: Oversee the efficient transport and logistics of completed satellites to the launch site, ensuring all procedures for safe handling and climate control are strictly followed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. An advanced degree is preferred. Number of years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or operations management role, with a significant portion in a satellite or aerospace production environment. [Number] years
