Overview

Seeking an experienced Satellite Systems and Launch Systems Production Manager to lead an advanced manufacturing team and own the full production lifecycle—from raw materials through final delivery. This role blends hands-on operations leadership with AI-enabled planning, scheduling, and resource optimization. You will mentor and upskill a high-performing technician workforce while driving safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities

AI-Enhanced Planning and Scheduling: Deploy and manage AI scheduling tools to generate real-time, adaptive production plans that account for resource availability, equipment downtime, and supply chain shifts. AI-Enhanced Planning and Scheduling: Use predictive analytics to forecast demand, capacity, and bottlenecks; implement proactive mitigations. AI-Enhanced Planning and Scheduling: Integrate AI insights with ERP/MES to improve resource utilization, reduce changeovers, and maximize throughput. Technician Management and Workforce Augmentation: Lead a multi-disciplinary technician team; set clear goals, coach for performance, and foster continuous improvement. Technician Management and Workforce Augmentation: Apply AI-driven workforce tools for shift optimization, skills-based allocation, and labor compliance. Technician Management and Workforce Augmentation: Orchestrate human–machine collaboration with cobots and automation to enhance safety, precision, and efficiency. AI-Powered Training and Development: Build AI-driven training modules/simulations to accelerate onboarding and mastery of complex assemblies. AI-Powered Training and Development: Utilize AR for hands-free, on-the-floor guidance to improve speed and accuracy. AI-Powered Training and Development: Establish a data-driven curriculum; use AI to identify skill gaps and personalize learning paths. On-Time Delivery and Quality Assurance: Monitor KPIs in real time with AI analytics; detect deviations early and drive corrective action. On-Time Delivery and Quality Assurance: Implement machine-vision quality control for automated, high-accuracy inspection. On-Time Delivery and Quality Assurance: Enforce rigorous AI&T test protocols (thermal vacuum, vibration, acoustic) to ensure flight reliability. On-Time Delivery and Quality Assurance: Oversee logistics and transport to launch sites, maintaining proper handling and environmental controls. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 5+ years in manufacturing/operations leadership, including significant aerospace or satellite production experience. Proven success implementing AI/ML or advanced automation in production environments. Deep knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement. ERP and MES proficiency. Strong leadership, communication, and team-mentoring track record. U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident (export control compliance). Preferred Skills and Experience

Familiarity with Odoo ERP, Teamcenter PLM, First Resonance ION MES, Confluence, and JIRA. Background in fast-paced, high-rate production. Experience with spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T). Aerospace/defense and/or government contract exposure. Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean, or related methodologies. Seniority level
