Job Description
Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal through geriatric patients, including routine care and emergency response for codes and traumas. Assist with bronchoscopies and special procedures such as PACU and invasive mechanical ventilation. Manage ventilators, including BiPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and troubleshooting alarms. Administer medications like albuterol, inhaled steroids, and epinephrine, and set up aerosol and nebulizer therapies. Perform airway management including endotracheal suctioning, extubation, and intubation assist. Conduct blood gas analysis and support neonatal procedures such as bubble CPAP and neonatal transport.

Shift: 4x12 nights (1800-0630) On-call: required December-April Work environment includes adult critical care, emergency department, pediatrics, with occasional NICU and PICU duties Job duration: 13 weeks Guarenteed hours with up to 36 hours call-offs per 13-week term, cancellations beyond that billed to client Located at a Level II Trauma Center with 372 staffed beds
Education/Licenses Needed
Active IL license ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
