Company Description Established in 2000, Milwaukee Academy of Science (MAS) is a public charter school serving over 1,400 K4-12th grade students from across the city, located in the Avenues West neighborhood. Our mission is to graduate urban students prepared to compete successfully at the post-secondary level. As an exemplary leader in STEM education, MAS is dedicated to providing a high-quality education to our diverse student body. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Milwaukee, WI. The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will oversee the Human Resources department, manage HR staff, and develop HR policies and strategies. The CHRO will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and compensation. They will also work closely with school leadership to align HR initiatives with the school's mission and goals. Qualifications
Expertise in talent acquisition and recruitment processes Strong skills in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management Knowledge of HR compliance, policies, and laws Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and policies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead and manage HR staff Relevant experience in an educational setting is a plus Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Advanced degree or HR certification preferred Seniority level
