STS Engineering Solutions is hiring an

Aircraft Records Specialist

to join our growing team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a

1099 contractor role

supporting aircraft records inspections for the transfer of aircraft ownership. The anticipated project timeline runs from

October 2025 through March 2026 , with work expected to be

40 hours per week

on site near the Phoenix airport. We are seeking detail-oriented professionals with a background in aircraft records management who can work independently and within a collaborative team environment. Candidates must be local to Phoenix or able to reliably commute to the area. Position Summary The Aircraft Records Specialist will support aircraft records inspections tied to ownership transfers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and regulatory integrity. This role requires strong technical knowledge of aircraft components, maintenance records, flight logs, and configurations. The successful candidate will prioritize tasks to meet contractual deliverables and ensure full compliance with company and FAA requirements. Key Responsibilities Maintain all maintenance task requirements, component, and time-controlled records in accordance with company and regulatory standards

Perform aircraft record audits of line and base maintenance work packages

Maintain engine and APU logbooks

Perform data entry and filing tasks with attention to accuracy and timeliness

Scan and index paper documents for electronic storage

Log and track assigned tasks in designated workspace

Create and distribute various status reports as required

Support internal and client-facing meetings

Assist with additional aircraft records-related responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications & Experience Required: Must be able to report to work in Phoenix, Arizona

US citizen or currently authorized to work in the United States

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of experience managing regulatory records (aircraft records preferred)

Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to retention and maintenance of aircraft records

Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital record systems (SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)

Strong attention to detail with proven organizational skills

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day)

Commitment to producing high-quality work while maintaining confidentiality

Preferred: Experience with aircraft records tracking systems such as SCEPTRE, TRAX, IFS Maintenix, Traxall, PMI, AMOS, or STC (PMI experience strongly preferred)

Higher education degree in aviation or related field

FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) license

Hands-on aircraft maintenance experience a plus

Prior experience with aircraft/engine induction or lease return record audits

Skilled with Adobe Acrobat DC and similar documentation tools

Experience supporting FAA conformity packages for aircraft induction
