Senior Data Visualization Engineer

in our Roseland, NJ office. This is a hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities

Metrics & Performance Management

Define, track, and maintain operational KPIs and OKRs across cloud services.

Leads the design, build, and optimization of dashboards (i.e. PowerBI) to monitor cloud service health, availability, compliance, and performance working in close collaboration with Operational Excellence Data Architect/Engineer.

Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics and trends.

Connect to various data sources, import data, and transform it into actionable reports.

Create compelling and user-friendly visuals that effectively communicate data insights.

Collaborates closely with product teams, engineering, security, and FinOps to gather operational requirements and translate them into actionable insights.

Governance & Readiness

Collaborate with Design Authority, FinOps, Security, CDO and Cloud Product teams to drive compliance and exception tracking processes. E.g. Supporting compliance tracking (e.g., IMDSv2, tagging, encryption) through integrated dashboards.

Partner with stakeholders to define and document Operational Readiness criteria for new services.

Coordinate cross-team inputs to support ORR (Operational Readiness Reviews) and service launch activities.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting platforms and dashboards.

Troubleshooting and resolving issues related with dashboards including data integration, data accuracy, performance tuning and report accessibility.

Process Improvement & Enablement

Analyze cloud operations workflows and propose automation or process improvements e.g. Automating reporting workflows and improving data quality.

Help document and enhance change and incident management processes related to cloud operations.

Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to improve observability, reliability, and resiliency practices.

Communication & Collaboration

Excellent communications skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and present data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends and patterns, and troubleshoot data related issues, reports and dashboards.

Prepare documentation and executive updates on cloud operations performance and insights.

Support workshops and discovery sessions with teams across ADP to gather pain points and improvement opportunities.

Document technical specifications, providing training to end users as needed, and offering ongoing support.

Preferred Skills

Advanced reporting (i.e. PowerBI) skills connecting with multiple data sources, design dashboards, optimizing large datasets and report performance, automating data refreshes with a strong command of query editor.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code (PaC) concepts.

Exposure to ITSM practices, incident/change/problem management workflows.

Understanding of cloud cost optimization frameworks and tagging strategies.

The ability to transform raw data into insightful visuals and reports, analyze data effectively, and communicate findings clearly to various stakeholders.

Data transformation expertise in analyzing data to create visual representations to aid in reporting and business decision making.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. We offer the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Matched Retirement Savings, Wellness Program, Short-and Long-Term Disability, Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Paid Volunteer Time Off, and more. The compensation for this role is USD $91,900.00 - USD $246,240.00 / Year*

*Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
