Immediately Hiring a Dedicated Solo Class A Driver
We want the right employee to drive with us at Ryder. Ryder employees who drive on this account earn $903-$1086 weekly and it gets better. Ryder drivers are paid weekly with hourly pay of $29.14 per hour and $5.90/hr health and wellness. Hours per week are 31 hours per week. Paid training is provided. Schedule is Sunday - Friday. Shift is Sunday - 5:45 am - 11:30 am | Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Deliver SOLO to within 80 miles of Halethorpe. Route is local home daily. Tractor type is day cab. Trailer type is 53' dry van. Equipment includes rolling racks and carts. Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight includes touch US Mail trucks that are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. We have all the benefits other carriers do without the wait: uniforms, cell phone and boot allowance provided. Paid personal time off starts at day 1 - 80 hours accrued in the first year. In addition to Ryder employment requirements, the United States Postal Service (USPS) requires: a secondary background screen - federal level 2 conducted by the USPS to allow access to premises and/or to provide contractual services. Selective service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, unless there is a legal exemption. Requirements include: minimum 21 years of age, pass a Ryder drug test, pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years, pass a DOT physical, pass a Ryder road test, provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position, must have class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle, ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures. Responsibilities include: ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines; detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs; loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer; performs other duties as assigned.
