WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM As Associate Counsel, you will primarily support Bain’s Legal Group by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legal contracts, while also advising consulting staff and contributing to team-wide projects. WHAT YOU’LL DO Contract Support Review, draft, and negotiate legal contracts, including: confidentiality agreements vendor and independent contractor agreements service provider agreements other business agreements Communicate legal issues and recommendations clearly to internal clients and senior lawyers Coordinate reviews and comments with stakeholders Review and prepare RFP responses Manage and interact with contract management systems and automated review tools Balance multiple contracts and priorities efficiently General Legal Support Advise consulting staff on Bain’s professional standards policies Deliver internal training where appropriate Support legal team colleagues on special projects Contribute to Bain Legal intellectual property by developing new forms, process guidance documents, and training materials ABOUT YOU JD with 2+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of business contracts in a law firm or in-house role Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environment Experience supporting global clients a plus Spanish or Portuguese language skills will be helpful U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service, and Bain’s best-in-class benefits package. Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows: In Georgia state, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $126,000 - $150,500; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level. In Massachusetts, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $145,000 - $173,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level. In Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $132,500 - $158,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level. In District of Columbia, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $145,000 - $173,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
