Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Responsibilities

Provide planning and analytical support, including development plan reviews and project coordination Review recorded maps, site plans, and zoning permits while managing non-construction permit processes Facilitate communication and project collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders Research and analyze planning data to prepare reports, maps, and presentations Evaluate and recommend improvements to land development processes and permitting procedures Serve as a liaison to community groups and support meaningful citizen engagement initiatives Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field and 1 to 3 years' planning experience in an area relevant to the department to which assigned OR Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong understanding of development review and permitting processes Proficiency in research, analysis, and project management Familiarity with applicable laws, codes, and regulations Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and engaging with stakeholders Customer service expertise and the ability to foster effective partnerships Competence in using modern office technology and specialized planning tools ADA and Other Requirements

Work Environment and Physical Effort: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
