Overview
The Advisor, Network Continuous Improvement position is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across the home office and the Parts Distribution Center (PDC) network. This role involves creating, standardizing, and ensuring the accuracy of KPIs, managing strategic projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance supply chain efficiency. This position will be working closely with Home Office, PDC operations, and the Supply Chain Technology (SCT) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement, project management, and supply chain operations. This position will be located at MBUSA Headquarters in Sandy Springs, GA. Responsibilities Collaborate with supply chain stakeholders and PDCs to support ad-hoc process improvement and standardization opportunities, ensuring the most effective and efficient processes Manage large-scale strategic initiatives across all project planning phases, including initiation, planning, execution, and closure Develop and maintain project plans and timelines, including task assignments, contract management, budgets, and stakeholder communication Consistently engage, communicate, and provide guidance on project status and progress to project members and key stakeholders, including senior management Lead and facilitate Lean management initiatives across the home office and PDC network team and apply Lean Methods to improve end-to-end supply chain inefficiencies Serve as the MBUSA project lead for understanding unique site infrastructure, storage system configurations, and planning for all business unit and IT integration for North America warehouse expansion initiatives Develop SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) targets to measure the effectiveness of Lean programs and the growth and maturity within the network Develop and standardize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for accurate and consistent reporting across the network Collaborate with the business intelligence team to update KPIs, manage metric change requests/requirements, and ensure accurate data inputs for performance reporting Work closely with WMS Analyst and stakeholders to utilize business intelligence tools to define data and reporting requirements to ensure metrics are accurate, consistent, and provide valuable insights for analysis and business decisions Work cross-functionally with all areas of supply chain management and understand downstream and upstream impacts to ensure holistic process improvements Lead efforts to standardize processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency in operations, documentation, and reporting across the PDC network Serve as the Central Theft Relevant Parts Administrator for North America Parts Distribution Centers and support with ongoing compliance tasks Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into project management methodologies and practices
Qualifications
Must have ability to successfully build relationships, communicate across organizational structure and effectively influence others. Understanding of warehouse processes (receiving through shipping), external systems that may interface with Warehouse Management System (WMS), and peripheral interface devices (RF, printers, etc.). Requires a Bachelor's Degree in: Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Certifications (Preferred): Lean Certification or 3-5 years experience in Lean Transformation Project Management Professional (PMP) Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau)
Must have at least 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in the following: Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential issues Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes, quality systems, and industry standards and regulations
