Loads, unloads, and moves materials within S&D or M&P facilities and campus, performing any combination of following duties in a safe and compliant manner:
Reads work order (or follows oral instructions) to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
Material transfers to or from storage or work areas to designated area, using rolling carts, hand trucks and industrial trucks or other devices.
Material transfers into vehicles operating hand trucks and industrial trucks according to method of conveying materials and equipment.
Material transfers onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves manually (by hand) according to method of conveying materials and equipment.
Transfer materials from wooden pallets to heat treated pallets / plastic pallets as required. Wipe off and collapse plastic containers as needed.
Pre-Stage, Stage and inventory transfer materials to locations as required.
Support receiving, shipping and inventory control functions.
Must accurately scan inventory to locations using a hand held scanner.
Shrink-wrapping material and pallets in preparation for transfers and shipping.
Transfer material between storage and shipping areas using a box truck (No CDL Required) and drop off packages to off-site destinations, if required.
Constantly being aware of their surroundings to:
Ensure materials are in their correct storage environments in a timely manner by reading orders and identification labels to locate or relocate inventory.
Inspecting equipment before each use and operate equipment safely according to manufacturer recommendation and operator certification training.
Ensuring the department areas are clean, organized, audit / tour ready and free of potential safety hazards
Operate powered material handling equipment, fill batteries with water using an auto watering system and report any mechanical or electrical difficulties to Supervisor.
Attending forklift training and certification courses as required.
Move corrugated and plastic materials to recycle trailer and/or compactor.
Schedules trucks as needed and generates any necessary paperwork for shipments.
Creates applicable documentation for both domestic and international shipments.
Verifies shipments thru the distribution process to ensure order accuracy.
Follow all applicable SOPs and protocols.
Perform related duties, special projects and/or other functions as required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Forklift experience.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Knowledge of Computers and Access Inventory System.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand customer specifications, cGMPs and SOPs.
Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments (between 30C and -20C) using the appropriate personal protective equipment.
Perform tasks in confined spaces such as DEA vault.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions in an accurate manner.
Applicant must be attentive, have a neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
Attendance and tardiness records will be used in determining selections.
Individual must be able to work overtime as required.
Subject to a 30 to 60 working day review period.
Employees who need the assistance of corrective lenses and contacts to read or inspect, must wear them to perform their assigned task(s)
Candidates are required to pass a written skills test in math and language.
Pay Details:
$22.00 per hour
