Student Intern - IT Data Analytics

This position provides temporary, project-based assistance in the Information Technology division. It is designed to offer real-world experience to students pursuing Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Information Technology. The incumbent will gain exposure to cooperative operations and practices while supporting teams with hands-on tasks and assignments appropriate to their field of study. Essential Duties: Assist department staff with data profiling and data mapping exercises as part of the ERP project. Assist department staff with converting legacy reports to new report system. Assist department staff with the migration of documents as part of the new document management system project. Assist department staff with the buildout of data pipelines. Assist department staff with the buildout of a data catalog. Assist department staff with the buildout of other data governance tasks and initiatives. Create and maintain data visualization dashboards and screens. Create and maintain documentation as necessary. Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings as required. Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Be at least 18 years of age. Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related discipline with at least one year completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months). Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Transcript required at time of application. If your transcript is not attached at time of application, your application will not be reviewed. Preferred Qualifications: Previous internship or relevant work experience. Additional certifications or coursework in field of study. Physical and Environmental Demands: This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. Key Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
